Dermal Filler
Most dermal fillers are made of Hyaluronic Acid (a substance that is naturally produced in the body aka HA). It is injected to rehydrate, restore, and add volume to the face and body. As we age, the fat, muscles, bone, and skin in our face begins to thin leaving a sunken or sagging appearance of the face. This highlights those pesky fine lines, wrinkles, folds, and can result in thin lips. Injectable HA is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, facial folds, and creates structure, framework, and volume to the face and lips. Aesthetically these injections are used to achieve a natural, balanced and youthful look.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Common area that dermal fillers are injected include lips, cheeks, chin, forehead (small aliquots), neck and jawline, and even hands to treat volume loss, skin thinning, diminished elasticity and bone volume loss due to aging and skin damage. However, dermal fillers can be used anywhere on the body that needs support.
What Can I Expect After Filler?
After filler injections, it is normal to experience bruising and/or swelling but this typically resolves within 7-10 days. You will notice improvement in contour, volume, definition and symmetry. It is normal to return in 2 weeks for a touch up depending on how much and where you received filler.

What Types of Filler Do You Use?
We carry several different dermal fillers including Restylane products (Kysse, Lyft, Defyne, Eye Light and Refyne) as well as Belotero and Radiesse. We will evaluate which filler will be best for you depending on your needs and goals.
What Other Filler do you Use?
SKINVIVE™ by JUVEDERM®, is an injectable gel indicated for intradermal injection to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks and hydrate from within for smooth texture and a radiant glow. The area injected, with microdroplets within the intradermis, range from the edge of the jaw, to the nasolabial fold and oral commissures (edge of the mouth) to the cheek (in front of the ear area). It is slightly different than a HA filler as SKINVIVE™ does not change your face shape or volume.
