Painful Joints & Jaws

Occasional joint pain is a normal part of life. Persistent painful joints, however, can interfere with your quality of life, create overuse, and lead to dietary, sleep, and body weight issues.

Besides simple at-home remedies, exercise, rest, medication, topical treatments, dietary supplements, a referral to a physical or occupational therapist, and in some cases, pursue an orthopedic evaluation.

Some people have persistent jaw pain and headaches, along with signs of cracked tooth enamel, increased tooth wear and tear, broken teeth, strain on the jaw, pain in the jaw, and enlargement of the jaw muscles. Bruxism is the involuntary clenching, grinding, and gnashing of the teeth. If appropriate the use of neurotoxins injected in the masseter muscle can provide some relief.
