A PDO thread lift is a procedure that uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift sagging skin in multiple areas of the face and body. The threads stimulate collagen production resulting in tightened skin and an immediate lifting effect. Plus, the benefits of this procedure may last up to 18 months! Over time, PDO Threads will also become a strong support structure for your face and body as they lift sagging skin while improving overall texture.
What Are PDO Threads Made of?
PDO stands for polydioxanone. They are surgical sutures, which are commonly used in medicine with remarkable results.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
PDO threads can be placed in any area of the face or body to rejuvenate your appearance, to firm and to contour. Common areas are the jawline, chin, jowls, neck, nasolabial folds (smile lines), crows feet and under eye area. The results are instant, improve with time, can last for years, leave no scars, and best of all they are a true “injectable” and a wonderful alternative, (or adjunct) to surgical procedures as well as other skin rejuvenation treatments.
What is the Process?
PDO Threads come in many different sizes and contours. Threads are placed in the targeted skin area in various patterns such as a crosshatch, mesh or as a scaffold just under the first layer of the skin. For some PDO thread procedures a topical and numbing medication is used. In addition, the needle used during this treatment is small therefore decreases the discomfort you may experience. Expect approximately 30 minutes for the procedure.
What is the Price?
Price varies depending on the area of face treated and will be determined during your consultation.
How Many Treatments will I need?
Most of our clients enjoy immediate results after just one treatment. A visit is recommended 1-2 months after your first treatment so we can determine if you need a follow-up treatment. After that, you shouldn’t need another treatment for two-three years.
